i finally learned how to post a comment. i had to choose a profile - one out of six, then set up an account, then make a profile - yuck TMI. i am either technologically challenged or lack the patience for figuring it out. i did however get a google profile. don't ask me about it i'm just hopin' i can respond to these beautiful adventurers! How's the culture shock? I thought of you two the other day as I was spinin' around Oakland, getting a latte, and thinking about what i want to do this weekend. i did get a chance to view your pics. AMAZING pics of the area, your lodgings, the totems, the fish, etc. Thanks so much for taking the time to share. ma Suflita
This is Hilary, Sam-Mike-Sarah's cousin from Maine. I met you at the wedding a couple years ago. Gabby and I have just moved to Oklahoma. Taylor shared your blog address with me, and I have enjoyed reading it and looking at the amazing photos.
I hope you don't mind - I sent the link to your blog to a distant cousin of mine, Genesee Keevil, who I think lives in Whitehorse, Canada, in the Yukon. I thought she lived closer to where you are staying, and might be able to give you some travel/living advice, but it seems that she is still quite a distance from you (and I may even have the town wrong.) I met her once a long time ago, and just know that she works for a newspaper and does a lot of dog-sledding. Here's the link to the newspaper: yukon-news.com
Good luck with everything. I hope you are having fun. Are you in need of care packages? I'm sure Auntie Tay and I could put something together.
