First Storm!!

We are experiencing our first storm!! There are supposed to be winds of up to 60 mph and the last two cruise ships today didn't dock because of the storm. Up side: we got to go home early and go to Walmart. Down side: there is actually no way to not be wet because the rain is going horizontal and for a town with a freakish amount of rain there are actually very few covered bus stops.

Work is good but a lot of hours, yesterday K worked from 7:00am-5:30pm (thank you for overtime) and D work only about an hour less and her job is much more demanding. Also, the cruisers yesterday were stingy meaning she did not make very many good tips, also they had some attitude. If you're the ones on vacation why are you cranky?

After work we ran over to the Lumberjack Show that was free yesterday afternoon. Yay for flannel! They did log rolling, boom run, pole climbing, chain saw carving and axing! It was pretty cheesy but still highly entertaining. We were a little late so I'm probably going to make D go again and see the beginning.

Now it's time to hole up and wait out the rain for this evening...wish there was a close movie rental place...oh well
